 Verified My oldest and I stopped in to try the weekend buffet for $17.99 . This inside is nice and buffet area was clean. Everyone was so nice and asked if we had any questions about the dishes. The buffet included a hot tea, plain naan , and some ice cream as well. There was a great selection of, four meat options and 3 vegetarian options. They had samosas, rice, salad and gulab jamun. The naan was nice and thin but not too thin. The butter chicken was delicious but my favorite was this chili chicken ! My oldest enjoyed everything and definitely wants to go back. I wish next time they have an aloo gobi which is my favorite. The only complaint I think I had was the samosas needed a little bit of spice(spicy) and the tandoori chicken was a bit dry and over cooked but maybe it was the piece I picked.

 Verified We came here on a rainy Monday afternoon. It was super cold and windy outside but inside it was warm and bright. The menu has quite a lot of different selections, with a ton of vegetarian options. We had the Aloo Gohbi, paneer tikka masala, samosa, and garlic naan. The food was fast and delicious. The samosas perfectly crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. The non-was fresh out of the oven and soft yet crispy.  Don't get me started on the sauce for the tikka masala. I wanted to lick the plate.  As for the Aloo Gohbi, my kid asked me why I don't make this for Thanksgiving instead of "those plain" mashed potatoes. All in all 5/5 stars.  Verified Food was bland. Got up charged for Garlic Naan without telling me it was going to be extra. I don't mind paying extra if I'm told ahead of time. I would say Tandoori Night and Curry House are better. Lunch special with the Naan was $25 and not worth it.
There was no confusion. When I asked if he could make it garlic naan he said yes and walked away. It wasn't until I got the bill that I was made aware of the up charge. When I go to Tandoori Night and ask for garlic Naan they don't charge extra. So I won't make the mistake of returning here. I go for Indian food at least once a month and your restaurant is closer than my normal spots. You and him didn't care about the confusion until I posted a review.  Verified The food was very good! The naan was so good! It was more crispy and long than any other I've had before but it was really good! We also ordered veggie samosas and they were SPICY. If you can't handle spice , I wouldn't order.

 Verified First time visiting this place. Went on a Friday for the buffet. Very flavorful food. The goat curry could have cooked a little more, it was a little chewy. The Tandoori chicken needed a little more char on it. The plain naan was delicious! The butter chicken was also very tasty. Overall a good meal.

 Verified Compared to other places the dishes I got lacked flavor. Not good value either. I got a vindaloo and it was mostly sauce with few pieces of protein.

Nice selection to choose from at the buffet. The price is reasonable. Food tasted amazing. And very friendly guest service.Definitely will come again.

We had the buffet and really wanted to like this place. The service was excellent and the staff were really welcoming. The ambience was great and the bathrooms were clean. Unfortunately, the food needs improvement. The naan, chai, and tandoori chicken were perfect. Goat curry is the most bland I've ever had so were the rest of the entrees. It feels like the spices were toned down on everything. The tiny little fire they have under each chafing dish does not keep the food hot. The dishes were barely warm. I hope the food improves. More spices, more flavor and more heat please!!!

I recently visited Golden Punjab for their lunch buffet in Fresno, priced at 17.99 per person, and I was thoroughly impressed. As someone from the Bay Area, I was pleasantly surprised to find such an authentic and satisfying Indian dining experience in Fresno.The standout dishes for me—especially as they’re my favorites—were the butter chicken, samosas, and yogurt. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, while the samosas had that crispy, golden exterior with a flavorful filling that made them irresistible. The yogurt was a refreshing, cooling contrast to the bold flavors of the other dishes, and I particularly enjoyed the goat curry, which had tender meat with a nice mix of rib meat.A delightful touch was the chai tea, which was made to order and had that comforting yes, homemade feel—like being at your mom and dad's house for a family meal. You could tell the spices were freshly ground, and it paired beautifully with the rich flavors of the buffet.For dessert, the option of vanilla or rainbow ice cream was a sweet ending to the meal, and while it was a simple touch, it added to the overall enjoyable experience.All in all, the Golden Per Job buffet was a great treat, with a warm atmosphere, delicious food, and a touch of nostalgia. Hello today I went in to have a quick bite with my boyfriend and let me tell you they do not disappoint. I had a good time the people there were so nice and they had delicious food. I have been to a lot of Punjabi-Indian restaurants in the USA and Canada. This Golden Punjab is exceptional. This quiet haunt is a must visit for ANY foodie, Indian, or Indian food fan. Each bite is a party of traditional flavore without compromise.God willing, I would come back to Fresno just for this.BTW: It is on the way back from Yosemite and Sequoia National. Come eat and enjoy.
